The winner of the Makeathon was the group that made a website with a focus on helping people living in war/hunger-affected areas. It tells the fictional story of four 10-year-old children who came from war-torn Palestine to Croatia in search of a better life. They were not accepted by the locals, were reported to the police and ended up in a home for neglected children. They are to be deported back to Palestine if they don’t find a guardian. The website is a call for action to donate, volunteer or even adopt a child/children.
